Gift

Already the expectation is driving them crazy. A gift that cannot be opened. Cannot be hidden. Cannot be wrapped. A gift that eats other gifts. Is it born yet? What color is it? Does it have a name? When I wake up at night I think old thoughts: about responsibility, unconditional love, discipline, puddles. I think: is Santa ready for this?
